Is this webinar actually live?

Yes, I will be there live to share this information with you! All three day/time options, it will be me there with you!

I'm not sure this is really for me, can you explain who this webinar is for?

If you are a service provider who is interested in effectively providing your service to Deaf/ hard of hearing clients/ customers this is for you. Service providers can be emergency medical providers, customer service representatives, therapists, and anything in between.

I know sign language. What else do I need to know?

Wether you are conversational in American Sign Language or you can slowly fingerspell your name, there is much more to being able to provide effective services to the Deaf World. I was employed for 8+ years full time in the Deaf World after being clueless about the community for most of my life so far. Now, I have developed the 3 pillars to providing effective services to Deaf individuals, and knowing sign language is not one of the 3 pillars.

What happens if I can't make it live?

Not to worry! You will have access to the recording! With the busy holiday season, I understand that working, shopping, and preparing for family celebrations can take up a lot of time this season. That is why there are three options of days/ times to watch live, but sign up to watch and you will also have access to the recording!

Will there be a chance to ask questions during the webinar?

Yes! During the webinar, feel free to type your questions into the chat and I will answer them and there will be time for questions at the end.

A Note From Jessica...

I was studying for my Bachelors degree in Social Work when I took my first American Sign Language class, in 2010. It has been a journey leading to the "Deaf Culture Nerd" that you see today. I have a passion now for providing accessibility to services for Deaf individuals. The way that I plan to provide that accessibility is to provide education and a community for the hearing people who want to learn to best serve the Deaf Community.
