The three key pillars for effective services to Deaf Individuals
How to manage learning this new community with an already full case load/ work and family schedule
Take the strengths that you already have in your service industry and enhance it with the keys to effectively serve a new unique community
What to do if you feel unqualified and uncomfortable serving Deaf individuals
"I want to know how to better serve a Deaf customer/ client who I already serve"
You have already provided a service to a Deaf person, but with the communication and culture barrier, it is not to the level of service that you provide to hearing customers/ clients.
"I want to know how to reach an entirely new community with my services"
You are at a point in providing your service that you are ready to take on more customers/ clients and diversity/ equity/ inclusion is not something you shy away from!
"I'm tired of wondering if I could be doing something more to serve that community"
You know your industry and you are skilled at providing your service, but if you were to serve a Deaf person, you may not be as confident in that service. The language and culture barrier add challenges!
Got questions? I've got answers.
Yes, I will be there live to share this information with you! All three day/time options, it will be me there with you!
If you are a service provider who is interested in effectively providing your service to Deaf/ hard of hearing clients/ customers this is for you. Service providers can be emergency medical providers, customer service representatives, therapists, and anything in between.
Wether you are conversational in American Sign Language or you can slowly fingerspell your name, there is much more to being able to provide effective services to the Deaf World. I was employed for 8+ years full time in the Deaf World after being clueless about the community for most of my life so far. Now, I have developed the 3 pillars to providing effective services to Deaf individuals, and knowing sign language is not one of the 3 pillars.

I was studying for my Bachelors degree in Social Work when I took my first American Sign Language class, in 2010. It has been a journey leading to the "Deaf Culture Nerd" that you see today. I have a passion now for providing accessibility to services for Deaf individuals. The way that I plan to provide that accessibility is to provide education and a community for the hearing people who want to learn to best serve the Deaf Community.
I would love for you to join me! Want to know more, check out my free webinar and check out Agape Pah on Facebook and Instagram
